Opposites
Little kids love to work with opposites. They like to learn how to distinguish between what is similar and what is different, black and white, big and small, loud and soft. This fun activity helps them understand the world around them better.
This worksheet is a good example of this activity in the teaching process. It consists of nine pairs of opposites which come in six different shapes – circle, square, triangle, diamond, heart, star. At the beginning of each sentence there is one word in capital letters while the other word has a lowercase letter. The children have to match the two words that share an opposite characteristic by placing a sticker on the appropriate letter on each page.
